Job Description
Management of audit activity, preparation and/or review of sales/use tax returns, and identification of planning opportunities for sales/use, gross receipts and transaction privilege tax for ABC Holdings, Inc. and subsidiaries.
Job Requirements
1. Manage audits/examinations/inquiries with state and local taxing authorities, including the coordination of outside advisors as necessary.
2. The preparation and/or review of timely and accurate sales/use tax returns for ABC and its subsidiaries.
3. The identification and implementation of sales/use tax planning opportunities.
4. Assist the divisions on sales/use, gross receipts, and transaction privilege tax issues.
5. Develop procedures & work with purchasing department to ensure compliance and maximize opportunities.
6. Perform tax research and provide guidance to all departments including accounting, purchasing, and legal on sales/use tax issues.
7. Work with other tax team members on various tax issues, including state & local income, escheat and/or property tax issues.
